Are there daily things or people that

annoy the shlt out of you? Then let it all out here!

I think I am a generally happy person but I can't help but to get angry on a daily basis when:

-People in the city walk so slow and take up the whole sidewalk! I mean come on, don't they need to get to work! So many people just dilly dally and its annoying.

-People in grand central who walk in 350 different directions and do not get out of the way. I literally bump shoulders with people everytime I am there

-People who do not know the unwritten escalator rule - 'stand on the right'

-Slow cashiers who don't know what they r doing

Ok I guess slow people in general annoy me, esp when I am in a rush or on my way to work!!! I just don't understand why they r moving so slow and I am moving so fast! Ok vent over but would love to know what irritates you a lot!

unfortunately, everything irritates me. DH is always like you are SO angry all the time. I can't even figure out why and today I was like maybe it's my commute? I hate people walking in front of me especially when they are blowing smoke in my face. People on the subway BLASTING their ipods so I can't concentrate on what I'm reading. the 59th and Lex 4,5,6 and R stop. the 51st and lex E train stop. the GRAND CENTRAL 6 stop is the WORST and people just push.

Add to that my constant computer issues at work, I'm always cranky. sigh. there's more, there's just not enough time in the day.

People who invade my personal space. For example, I was on the treadmill at the gym this morning. There was a whole row of 7 or 8 empty treadmills next to me, but this woman had to use the one RIGHT NEXT to me. And its not like she was watching one of the TVs, she was reading. Come on, at least leave ONE in between.

Or if I'm in an empty movie theater, WHY do people have to sit down RIGHT BEHIND me?

Petty I know, but it drives me nuts.

LOL! I have roadrage too....but DH is SO BAD!

I totally feel you though...I hate when people turn out right in front of you...esp when there is NO ONE coming behind you! Its so ridic!!!!!!

lol. there is one girl who rides my bus regularly and will tell people to be quiet. She asked one lady 'is this going to go on the entire ride to Manhattan' i wish i had the nerve. well..... she did get off the phone. i mean who the hell are you talking to at 6:30 AM ??!!! i don't want to talk to anybody until i have my first cup of coffee!

I hate when your driving (it's a green light) & people are taking their sweet arse time walking across the street so you have to slam on your breaks not to hit them

can't stand when someone swings their car door open w/o looking to see if theres cars passing next to them or if their in a parking lot & the kid slams the door into your car & the 'adult' acts like nothing happened & scurries off with the kid
would it be that horrible to say sorry

didn't realize there were so many but here are a few more - i really don't think I like people now that I think of it

-people who drive slow in the left lane (that's what the right is for)

-when someone asks you a question & doesnt listen for the answer or starts walking away as your telling them where the bathroom or something is

-oh I hate this one...when people have their fet up on a busy train or when they have to have a seat for ther coach bag & I'm to standing.

- when people have their shoes off in the wrong places, like the cafeteria at work or up on a bench at the mall

OMG Dh says this to me ALL the time, he says 'everything annoys you' I cant wait to tell him I am not the only one.

here is just part of my list:

~When you go out of your way to hold the door for someone and they dont say thank you
~People race to get around you in the LIE, get in front of you and then slow down 15 mph
~People who drive with their blinker on for MILES!!!!
~People who ask you a question that doesnt need to be answered like: You are having pizza for lunch?~>when you have the pizza in front of you and happen to be chewing
~People who sit next to you and act like you arent there, elbows all on you and stuff
~People who randomly break into a conversation you are having with someone as if they were part of it
~And the 'right of way' rule....if we are walking directly at each other YOU MOVE TO THE RIGHT and I will do the same, I dont want to dance with you!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok Im done~this list could go on forever and ever!!!

all of these things annoy me too! i just started commuting through grand central and i literally want to hurt people in the morning!!! i'm always SO ANGRY by time i get to work.

but i have to add, the #1 thing that annoys me in nyc is when people do their personal grooming on the subways!! i cannot tell you how many times i've seen people clip their nails which is just enough to drive me over the edge!!!

recently a friend of mine was on the train and the guy next to her took off his shoes and started picking at the callouses on his feet!!!!! i actually didn't believe her when she told me the story and then she showed me pics she took with her iphone! it seriously makes me feel like i have to throw up!!

I get annoyed at people easily these days. I get SO angry when a cashier doesn't know what she/he is doing and/or if he/she doesn't really speak English well. I am all for equal opp's, but come on....if you have to deal with money you should have a strong command of English!

I also get SO annoyed when I'm food shopping and people take up the ENTIRE aisle.....then they don't move and pretend they don't hear the, 'Excuse me please'!!!!

I have awful road rage so I hate when people decide to take a Sunday stroll and drive 25 mph when the limit is 40

Can't stand people that signal the last minute and decide to make their turn abruptly

Also why do you have to practially park on top of my car

It irritates me when a group of people decide to stop and have a conversation in the middle of the street during rush hour

When people have the nerve to take their time putting their credit card back in their wallet (ok I understand to some point) but they are covering up the whole counter and you can not even put your items down. If they are going to take longer than a minute can't they step to the side.

Also when people do not say thank you it irritates me

Personally, I love when there is like 2 inches of space in between people on the subway and somebody always gets on and tries to wedge into the spot! What's with that? That drives me insane!! YOU DON'T FIT!!!

I also can't stand when people stop short on the sidewalk and just stand there.

OMG, i have a million things that annoy the shite out of me. here are a few:

- slow people, be it driving or walking. you have a gas pedal for a reason, use it! and in the city, everyone walks fast, keep up w/ the pace!

- on the train, i do NOT want the person next to me touching me in anyway. i hate it when i squeeze over as much as i can to the window/edge, and they think it's so they can have more space, and spread themselves out even more. hello, i'm trying to get AWAY from you.

- people who don't say thank you for holding the door, and people who clearly see you coming, and still decide to let he door slam in your face.

- hearing other people's music when their headphones are WAY too loud.

- people who push their way onto the train before letting the other people off first. it's just common courtesty, and makes everything go quickly.

Peg - you reminded me of one I have too that is the same as you!

Everyday people in my office come over and stare at what I am eating! I usually eat pretty healthy (not always tho) and people seem to resent that. Anyway its just really annoying because I am trying to eat and leave me the f alone and stop asking what I am eating every single day!!!

Also there r def people in my office who always interrupt my converaations to say something really stupid, off topic and just irrelevant! Ugh!

Lastly I hate when people come over to chitchat as soon as I sit down! I am not chipper in the am and don't want to hear about your weekend!

I let a lot of things roll off my back

But...........

When I hold the door for someone and they DON'T say thank you....I always YELL...'YOU'RE WELCOME!!!!' at them and DH gets so red

I also have road rage....even if DH is driving. I've leaned over and honked his horn because he's a cool cucumber!!! I'm like a FREAK when you put me in a car!!!

The urban backpackers on crowded rush hour trains and buses.

#1 Goober, 3 more people could fit on this bus if you would REMOVE THE BACKPACK and place it at your feet.

#2 You are 32 years old and weigh 270lbs, trust me, the 'schoolboy' look you're going for isn't working.

#3 What in the h*ll are you packing in there anyway, its clearly not ETIQUETTE books, that's for dayum sure. You're either going to the Hunter College cafeteria, or your job at Blockbuster, so why pack as if you're joining an Everest expedition?

I love this thread!!!

Some things that get on my nerves are:
- Seeing women that well into their late 50's early 60's dressing like they are in their teens. For example yesterday DH & I were shopping and we were leaving a store and this older woman wearing a bathing suite with a white gauze cover up asked us a question. I guess I could see it if we were at the beach, but as far as I know Jericho Turnpike isn't the beach.
- Kids going wild in a store and their parents not doing anyting about it.
-I am the process of learning how to drive and it burns me when the car in front of you decides to make a turn without signalling and you have to slam on your breaks so you don't rear end them.
-People who see you waiting for a parking spot and just when you are about to pull into your spot they steal your spot.
