Are u anal about ur proofs???

lol my mom thinks i'm crazy! for one, i'm ADAMENT about not giving away my proofs. when we first got them my mom was like 'ooh u should give this one to so & so & give this one to this person'...NOPE. i'll make them copies if they want, or email them the files - but i am not giving away any of MY photos from our day I also wont put any of them in frames (this is where my mom thinks i'm nutty)...if i want to display any of them I simply just make a second print out...i usually make it bigger than a 4x6(or whatever size they are) anyway - unless they're going in a collage of some sort... I just dont want anything happening to any of the photos...so i keep all 900 of them in the lovely albums tom arranged them in

mine are all digital, so I dont know.

but i WOULD be if they were printed.

lol well she doesn't ask anymore - that was just when we first got them. I actually have them all on disc too - which kinda makes sense as to why she thinks i'm crazy lol. BUT - the proofs are such nice prints..they're high quality & they have a nice border around all of them. there's no way i'm handin' those out or hangin' them around the house!

My MIL did the same thing
DHs nephew was our RB so we have alot of really handsome pictures of him, every picture of him she would tell me I should send it to DHs sister...UM NO! THey are mine, I will be more then happy to scan it for her but I am not sending this one I dont know why but it annoys me.

I'm not giving anyone my proofs either. I say if they want one, they'll have to cough up the money to get one printed.

Our parents are getting their albums, plus an 8x10 of their choice.

My in-laws are saying well I want this and I want that and then I say well here's the price list for any extras that you want. Once they saw how much it cost to get them they changed their minds.

I'm not a cheap person, but they didn't chip in for anything. I'm not just giving them away, I want all my proofs.

I am also very anal about the proofs. I just do not want anybody to touch them, plus we have the DVD so whoever wants a copy, they can always order extra. I want to make sure that I will keep all of my proofs for myself and DH

I'm the same. They're still in the boxes that I picked them up in, I won't put them in frames either and I DEFINITELY won't give them away to anyone!!!!! The originals are mine forever.

VERY! I refuse to let anyone touch them unless their hands are clean. And don't ask me to give you one! I got that question and I'm sorry-we paid for those out of our own hard earned money!

nope. there are a whole bunch of proofs that I'll never look at again -- they're of people I dont really know, or things I already have copies of. I would give those away. Honestly, my proofs are just sitting in a box in my closet....I'd rather give a few away to people who will actually frame them or something.

Yeah!!! But our proofs are in a magazine books. But, no one can eat or drink while looking at them.
My friend accidently spilled soda onto the album that my brother and fiancee gave us as a wedding gift with the photos they gave us. She wiped it off but there a few Pepsi stains. That will not be happening with the proofs or the wedding album.

I am in the minority..as usual

I gave away a lot of my proofs-we deliberately chose the 4x6 instead of the nice proof book with thee tiny proofs so we COULD give them away.... Saved me the moola of making copies and they were unedited proofs anyway so most were dark and all of that.

I mean otherwise they sit in a box...If I want to display copies I will make nice ones-I have the CDs.

We had printed proof books so doesn't apply to us, but if I had real proofs, NO WAY would I give them away.

MY proofs are mine.
If anyone wants a copy of a picture, they can order it. There is a group shot of all DH's co-workers. I refuse to buy 37 pictures to give out to these guys.
My photog did not give me the proofs on CD, something I keep forgetting to ask if I will get one after I order my album.

I'm also anal about keeping the proofs in order, and watching people as they look thru them. Why do people have to use all 10 fingers to hold a picture ?
MIL had to go thru them to select the ones she wants for herself, but I am so reluctant to let her have them at her house. I would rather she come to mine to see them there. I just feel that they would get lost in the house of horrors (my in-laws are hoarders).

NO!! OMG !!! NEVER EVER GIVE UR PROOFS TO ANYONE!!!

Some girls have to give their BACK to the photographer and that I would never deal with!

Their mine and mine to keep.

I let my mom and MIL borrow them to bring them in to work and I hated that as it is!
