I AM REALLY CLOSE WITH MINE-I CONSIDER MYSELF LUCKY B/C INSTEAD OF LOOKING AT ME AS SOMEONE TO TAKE HER SON AWAY SHE CONSIDERED ME HIS HAPPINESS.

close? eh....do i call her to talk to her about problems or things going on in my life?...no i would consider that close....BUT i do like her as a person

NOPE! shes a crazy b*tch lol she has done some things to me that i will never like her! she feels i took her son away and now shes alone. ehh i wish i could trade her in LOL

I don't have one... She died when DH was 15. I really wish i knew her though because DH was very close with her and DH says we are a lot a like.

DH and my mom are VERY close... which actually is really nice!

Yeah My MIL is great. When I was dating DH we used to meet up with his parents for dinner and then a few drinks. She also calls me randomly at work to get all the news since DH is pretty useless for that. She lives in Ireland so we try to stay in contact atleast once a week.

we fortunately have an amazing relationship. We both go shopping together...talk on the phone...things like that. I consider myself lucky to have such great in laws, i love them both very much!

We're very close. She considers me to be her daughter. I think moreso because DH and I have been together for so long. I remember years ago before we got engaged she told me that she told DH if he screws up and we break up she would never accept another woman as her daughter in law! Could you imagine how much drama that would have caused for the next girl?

yes, close in some ways, not in others, it's weird, she is really sweet, but our relationship is not what you would call typical....when dh was in the hospital we took care of him, she wasnt dealing with it very well so we had some issues back then, and when someone you love is that sick there are things you have to do that you don't expect to until you are VERY OLD!! haha and you NEVER want to do them in front of you MIL! so yes I would say we are as close as a mil/dil can be in some ways, hehe
