i sent a link to my hubby of what i want for our anniversary.
i was just wondering how common it is to exchange anniversary presents or ask for something nowadays?

we did a very nice dinner out....that was enough for me.
but since DH spent a LOT of money on me for my bday & xmas (within a month of each other) -- i did buy him a watch he wanted. otherwise--we figure our trip in may is a gift enough for each other

I would love for us to take a weekend away. Maybe to Martha's Vineyard for a night or something.
I don't need a 'gift'. Like MJDoc, I had a very nice Christmas. But a night out would be FABU!

We went on a cruise for our first Anniversary. We said that we would only get each other cards....but when we opened the cabin door the room was decorated with streamers and a Dz red Roses.
I loved the roses. but a card would have made me happy also!

We are thinking of a nice long weekend away as our anniversary present to each other, maybe go back to Washington DC.

if we go away for our 1 year, that would be a great gift for the both of us; if we don't go away then maybe a gift or a nice night out or something.

but we'll probably go out for dinner either way .... to
if i'm feeling better, maybe we'll take a quick weekend vacation.
he already put in to take off the day of our anniversary (it falls on a monday)

we're definitely going out for a big and fancy dinner in NYC on our anniversary. Not sure about gifts. There isn't anything that I want.....and don't think DH wants anything either.....we'll see

I think we are going to do the nice dinner we had planned for New years that got cancelled because I got that horrific stomach flu where I wanted to DIE!
Its at The manor resturant and RH in NJ rigth behind his parents house. He wanted to have the weddign there but tooo pricey. But they have an amazing buffet dinner (stuff like filet mignon and lobster) for $30.00 a person normally which is really good because its 2 hour seating and that includes the desert and 'appetizer' buffets as well.
Benefit of going in July is its cheaper than NYE when the price doubled, so we will probably do that. Not sure if I can wear the dress I'd planned for NYE though. Its like a mideweight jersey material.

we go away every year to celebrate our old anniversary so now it will be for both
and since we can rarely go away on the actual day we will probably eat out that night

we'd like to take a trip for our anniversary, but gifts to us are not to big of deal since were saving for a house.
