Are you kidding?!

So...tomorrow is DH's nephew's first birthday party. Yes, on a Thursday night....

Anywho...just saw on FB how MIL is not going. So both DH and I were a bit curious.

He just speaks to her, or listens to her yelling at him, and she's not going to the party 'because of the people that are going to be there'.

***? I narrow that down to myself, and FIL's girlfriend. And maybe one other person which she has a valid reason to not want to see.

This is an adult woman? Unreal. Typical of her drama prior to a family function.

Just had to vent.

Her loss. She will miss out on so many things if she keeps this attitude up. In teh end she will realize her childish behavior will be the reason why she doesnt know her own grandchildren. So sad

I agree with the other girls too....she'll realize that its her loss and the only one she is hurting are her grandchildren.

i have to agree..i could not have said it any better

Thanks girls...you are all so right. She does see him and babysit, etc....but for a special occassion she should put her issues aside and be there.

I'm just very hurt as it appears as if I am 'one of the people who will be there' and that's why she doesn't want to go.

I've never been in a situation where someone didn't want to be in the same room as me. It's hurtful.

Let's see if she goes.
