Aruba, Cancun, DR, PR, AN?

Hello Everyone,
Since our honeymoon was pretty much rained out, (not pretty much, totally) DH and I want to take sort of a smaller second one this year. Trick is, he has free flights with Jet Blue and we need to go where they go :)
So that seems to be Cancun, Puerto Rico, Aruba St. Maartin or the Dominican Republic.
We do want an all inclusive just in case it is a mess agan, but also like to go out and explore the areas so there need to be fun things (other than clubs) and be safe.
Anyone have any recommendations or cautions in any of those areas? Thanks ladies!

DH and i are going to PR in October. I hear El Conquistador is gorgeous...and depending when you go you can get some really good rates...

I want to go theer! We stayed at Secrets Excellence before it went under new managerment; the one in Riviera Maya Cancun..Service is otustanding and the resort GORGEOUS. Really new and fabulous. So fabulous that for our HM we went to Punta Cana Execellence...FAR better! I mean the resort isolder and not as well laid out, but the service was 100x better. The liasons at the front desk spoke perfect english which was a plus for DH.

Also the food was AMAZING-sooo much betetr than Cancun and the staff was just so much friendlier. Also, you get the Caribbean..CANNOT be beat. Ask your travel agent about special offers too. We went the week before that Hurricaine in August and had perfect weather and got a 2 for 1 deal. I did a full write up in ym review comparing the two resorts.

i went to aruba and st. marteen on hm... Aruba was extremly safe, st. marteen is pretty safe. both have a lot of choices in hotels.

both were beautful, st marteen a little nicer then aruba, aruba is just a big desert. We stayed at the Renasance Hotel, they have packages and we stayed in the ocean suites, its the only hotel in Aruba that has a private beach and thats because it has its own private island which was awesome!!!!

St. marteen has a bunch of good hotels, and a lot of beautful beaches.

It's not on your list but I loved Club Med in Turks and Caicos!

We went to Excellence in Riviera Maya - not thrilled wiht the food, but everything else was fabulous!
Great service and good activities!
Pretty!
Had a problem with little bugs, though, but that's everywhere.

Being Puerto Rican of course I have a preference...unfortunately the hotels down there are NOT all inclusive. I would recommend Punta Cana, DR, I hear it's beautiful, and tons of all inclusive resorts to chose from. Cancun is also nice if you want a Mexican version of Miami....LOL.
Don't know much about Aruba or St. Maarten, but if they have all inclusives like Sandals or Beaches, I would go there as a preference. Good luck chosing!
