As a wife....what is your worst 'wifely' duty...lol

I get home an HOUR before DH does so I feel like I should at least have dinner done and I hate cooking dinner after coming home from work!!! I don't mind cooking but I mind cooking right after work, it's the last thing I want to do!

ETA: This is not to say my DH expects dinner on the table b/c he doesn't but I just feel being home an hour before him....I should do it just like if he was home before me, he should do it haha

What is yours?

(oh & I hate putting laundry away....I don't mind cleaning & folding)

hmmmmmm.......Im trying to think. WHile I don't LOVE cooking or doing laundry (i do both), I really can't complain b/c this is the first place I've lived in years that has a washer dryer in our bathroom, so I kind of like it!

Also, DH does the really disgusting jobs like toilets, garbage, and changing cat litter so I really can't complain about the tasks I do have to do.

I hate doing laundry - thankfully DH does the laundry, but I help him fold.

Same here. I also dislike doing laundry and DH has taken over this task...he knows what to wash and not to wash and whats allowed to go in the dryer and what not to dry lol.

kudos to you! I would never let my DH near the laundry. He's good at a lot of things......but I don't trust him with the laundry! That's why I let him stick with toilets and cat litter.

well, I do the laundry and we both cook dinner, and share the house cleaning.... I guess the worst wifely duty is being the household management..... which means I'm responsible for about 80% of every decision.... especially when it concerns $$$, paperwork, or decorating. we're beginning to plan to buy a home.... and it's a heavy load for me!

Well Devon, Let me think.......

It is not like I have Not been doing all these things before we were Married, BUT NOW, it's my Wifey Duty.

I really don't like cleaning every week. Sweeping the floors and dusting. I don't like cleaning the bathroom or cleaning the tub or toliet bowl.

My least favorite'wifely' duty is taking out the recycling. I just don't like it cause DH is supposed to take care of it, but doesn't so after 3-4 days there are tons of cans and bottles on the counter. I just can't stand it anymore so I end up throwing them away.
Although I do get a kick out of the fact that DH realistically thinks that he brings them out every night.

ME TOO!!! DH has come to accept that after the washing machine starts it's thing, I will sit in front of it and stare in a trance for a few minutes. I used to tell him I was waiting for the 'bubbles,' now he just gets that I need to stare.

As far as the other stuff, we hired our first cleaning service today. We were arguing about who cleans what. Best decision we have made.

ALL OF IT! I swear I am the worse house keeper every created
I hate doing laundry, dishes, cleaning...HATE IT!
But DH helps with everything so it isnt as bad as it could be

I don't mind doing the laundry except now there's twice as much to do ! And we have a Roomba so vacuuming is easy. Plus I don't mind doing the dishes or cooking (we take turns doing both)....so I think just having to clean in general is my least favorite thing. It would be nice to only have to clean up like once a month

I don't do it AT ALL!!!!! I've always hated cooking and probably will always hate it!!! My wonderful husband knows that and has no problem with it. He cooks all our dinners and anything else. THANK goodness becuase I would STARVE if he didn't!

Now, on the other hand, he always has clean clothes because I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing laundry! Something about that detergent I tell ya!!!

I love to cook and I don't mind cleaning and doing the laundry. But I HATE folding the laundry, putting it away and emptying dishes from the dishwasher.

oh oh i found a friend that shares the same hate in life LOL i would starve to if it wasnt for DH he comes home and cooks everynight! THANK GOD! see now me on the other hand i dont mind doing laundry but i hate folding it and putting it away but hey is DH is going to cook ill suck it up and clean lol im the biggest neat freak you will ever meet! my house looks like a model home because everything MUST be in its place i get that from my mom

Ugh, I hate being the 'treasurer' and handling all the bills and balancing the checkbook. DH actually pays some of them now bc I was just getting so overwhelmed, it def helps a lot but I still hate worrying about the finances.

I am lucky that DH loves to clean seriously he would list it as one of his hobbies. I think he has stock in clorox bleach wipes he uses them non stop. Our apartment doesn't have a washer/dryer so we drop that off and pick it up when it is perfectly folded and sorted. I put away all the laundry and hang it all up. I also take care of all the bills. I'm not to keen on cooking but I will do it when it needs to be done. We work opposite schedules so he's leaving when I get home a lot of the time so we usually wind up eating alone (that sounds so sad).

Mine has to be cleaning. I absolutely hate it. LOL I don't mind doing laundry though.

I am warming up to cooking. I am still very nervous that I am going to mess it up. But DH did tell me I made an amazing meal last night. I made veal cutlets, corn, 4 cheese bow-tie pasta, and TGIF's mozzarella sticks.
