I've never been. I need help with hotels. I'm thinking of going for our one year. The problem is its July 4th w/e so its really expensive. Ballys, Harrahs - over $400/nt
Has anyone ever stayed at a Bluegreen hotel?
What goes on there for July 4th?
How is the beach?

Re: Atlantic City
yeah, it's going to be expensive. we actually stayed 1 night on july 4th there several years ago; it was so expensive that the night before we stayed at a super 8 which i do NOT recommend
but it was awesome - we stayed at the borgata and they had a fireworks show, we had a great dinner, etc.
i haven't heard of the other one

i dont live to far from there and never heard of the bluegreen hotel.
Did you look into maybe some of the smaller casino like hilton or showboat?

Re: Atlantic City
Tropicana is sold out
From their website it looks like a very nice place. (Bluegreen at Altantic Palace)
I'd like to do Niagara Falls but its too far. We only have Fri-Sun.

Re: Atlantic City
Ive never heard of bluegreen. Check our Resorts or Trump Marina. They are smaller casinos and usually not priced that high.
What about staying at a hotel without a casino, those are always the lowest price...

Re: Atlantic City
I dont care to much about having the casino IN the hotel we are staying, just want it to be on the boardwalk/beach

Re: Atlantic City
i just asked my boss about that place and he said he thinks the bluegreen is where resorts use to be.
if you wanna be on the boardwalk then i wouldnt suggest trump marina, have you thought about not staying on the strip and staying in the local area, and then either driving or taking a taxi to the beach/casino

Re: Atlantic City
ummm parking can be a pain unless you park in the casino parking lots. There is a hotel i think its right next to the AC convention center not sure whats it called maybe the sherdan, and i think thats like 3-4 blocks from the beach and casino, but thats just idea. I also think there might be a howard johnson or a holiday inn next to the tropicana, but my head is drawling a blank
