attempting to DIY my TY's...pics Opinions?? which do you like better??

DH and I never included TY's in our photo package, for some reason....i have a feeling they will be expensive to add since i want more than one pic so i am attempting to DIY them....here is my first try...what do you think?

ok i tried to make a new one with thinner borders, which one do you like better?? the first or second one? TIA\

only prob is...i made them in powerpoint...i hope the resolution is high enough. i saved it as a JPEG and it is on 47KB in size. I will prob order a sample before getting them all

Hat res did you do them on? I always prefer photoshop even if you download a trial version just because you know the dimensions will be on point since its industry standard.

I really like the uniqueness of the design. Only thing I'd suggest is the black border around the pics-both the wide one and the black borderign around the 3 smaller pics, might look better thinner. Its a bit bold especially around the smaller pics, considering how little they are and it kinda gives the impression of being overwhelming.

Otherwise it looks awesome!

I like the second one ALOT BUT..I wouldnt break up the black thick border into two like you have it now.

I love how it adds dimension to the white but maybe try just outlining both pics rather than giving them their own individual outlines because it looks choppy. I like the thinner black sooo much better.

Watch your dimensions though-left side is higher than the right on top and at the left side its thinner than the right.

I like the one with the black background better then the second with the border, I think the border is too busy.

Now, here's a trick about doing layouts in powerpoint. The thing is - you need to make the page at LEAST 2 times bigger than the size you want to print (I recommend at least 3 times bigger). Because once you save as a jpg, it loses resolution.

So, lets say the cards are 5x7. You want to make your page in Powerpoint 15x21 or bigger. The dimensions will be the same, but once you save as a jpg, the resolution will still be high enough so that it prints great.

thanks!! i actually ended up saving it as 10x14 which made the resolution higher, but i will change it to make it even bigger now.
