Anybody else get stuck having these? Someone who randomly happens by your desk and lingers a second too long, so you feel compelled to ask 'how's it going' and they answer, and you try to say something relevant in return, and then it just trails off awkwardly until you're both just looking at each other, and then they kind of slink away...
Example that just happened:
Me: Hey, what's going on Him: Nothing, I was in NY last weekend Me: Cool Him: Yeah, it was really crowded Me: Yeah, it can get like that Him: I stopped in one of the museums and it was wall to wall people Me: Yeah, lots of tourists this time of year Him: Yeah...
.......

LMAO ALL THE TIME! I am the keeper of the gate as the receptionist lol and must face all dragons no matter how fiery or stale their breath is.
Take 1socially awkwad schelp+ 1socially awkward receoptionist= WAY AWKWARD 5 minutes of staring one another in the eye.

I love that the state in general was really crowded like the Ground Round on a saturday night.
At least your guy talks to you in my office one guy just kind of stares at me looking for a conversation I avoid all eye contatct and type non sensically until he leaves. No way am I falling for his talk to me trap ever again.

LMAo you guys are so bad...nope the boss is out of the officce till Thursday so Randy is at peace..at least for the moment. I have Larry and [eter to keep me company instead

I like little stories such as this one. They make me feel normal. Sometimes things like this will happen to me and I think to myself am I the work weirdo
Conversations in work with some people are just so hard. I hate the weather talk. I have been trapped in here with you for the past 8 hours I don't know if it's warm or cold nor do I care since I will be sitting in my temperature controlled room for another 3 hours.
Do all of my posts seem bitter and angry because i'm not really as angry as I seem in real life

You have to be more like me.. when the conversation doesn't interest me anymore.. I just walk away...
I do it more often than I should, but people tend to bore me after a few minutes

talk about awkward, I work per diem and people actually have the freakin gaul to ask what I make an hour!!! when it first started happening I was taken aback, now i'm like 'i dont disclose that' you freakin nosy a&&hole@!!!!! does this happen to anyone else??
