Babies!

Babies!

I'm thinking that I want to get pregnant this Jan!
Do you think that it's too soon after our wedding to have babies?
I know that it's our choice but I just wanted some feedback.

Considering I am pregnant and have only been married 3 months, I do not think it is too soon

There is no absolute right or wrong time that satisfies everyone's situations. If you and DH both want to have a baby then that's exactly what you should do!!

I don't think there's any such thing as too soon or waiting too long - you've just got to do it when it feels right for you. For some of us, it's immediately and some it's much later.

I think if you and your DH want to then go for it. 'Too soon' is relative. It depends only on you two and what ya'll want and are ready for!

Of course, it's an individual decision. Your age, his age, finances, etc.

That aside, I like to think waiting a year is a solid move. It gives time to adjust as a 'married couple' and enjoy some alone time before becoming parents.

I don't think there is any standard rule. My DH and I are going to TTC in October (for insurance purposes) and we will only be married for 8 months then. There are a lot of factors involved in making this decision. We feel that since we have been living together for 3 years, we feel we know each other well enough to become parents.

My good friend who is a mom said that it is a popular misconception that you get pregnant and BAM you are a parent. She said that you DO have more time then you realize to prepare yourselves for the baby. Meaning, in your case, say you become pregnant in January, you won't actually be holding your child til October of 2007! That is 14 months from NOW!

So if you feel you are ready, go for it!

It is too soon for me and my Dh!!! Though it might be the right time for you guys.
Just make sure you both are ready this soon after getting married.
I always think it is nice to wait at least a year, but everyone is different.

It's never too soon. (as long as it's what you want.)

We didn't wait very long (married in Oct - PG in Feb). It's your (& DH's) personal choice. You know what's best.

You should do it when you're ready! My DH and I had planned to wait a year and start trying on our 1 year anniversary, but the more we talk about it, the more we think we'll do it sooner. We feel ready emotionally and financially, so there's not really anything stopping us...

I agree....everyone is different...if you and DH feel ready ...then you are ready!

I'm not planning it but I am not avoiding it the way I was avoiding it before getting married....I strongly believe that it will happen when its meant to happen. I know that me personally will NEVER be READY READY.....but who is......!!!!!!! JMO
