Yesterday I ate so much and felt so bloated, I told my DH to kiss my belly. He said 'I will kiss your belly when your pregnant.' Which got me thinking, are you and DH on the same time table in terms of making babies. If I had my choice, I would have been trying already.

Re: Babies
We are agreeing that we will def have 1 before we are 30 (we are both turning 28 this winter) and we both agree that we wanna have a house and all that, but i would have one now too if he wanted! lol as much as i know we should wait...i just think we would make it work no matter what situation we were in!
hopefully by next summer we will start trying

Re: Babies
We talked about having kids. I want to have our first baby by the time I turn 28, and DH will be 29. We want to give ourselves a good two years to travel and take care of our things before we devote our time having and taking care of a baby. My heart goes weak every time I see babies or kids. I have friends who recently had babies. They always tell me to wait until I feel ready. Once the baby comes along, there's no such thing as traveling, alone time or going out anymore. You devote 100% to your baby. And if it's not something you feel commited or ready for, this is not the time to have a baby. And I agree with their advice. You have to be mentally and emotionally prepared. And I think if you give yourself time, things will take its course naturally. For ladies who are planning to have children or a bundle of joy is on the way, congrats!!!

Re: Babies
We're both in agreeance that after our 1 year anniversary we'll 'stop preventing'....because we don't want to be in the predicament of TTC and being disappointed..
BUT
if by some chance we got pregnant earlier we'd consider it a blessing.
Right now I'm 30 and DH is 34, at this point by the time we have babies I'll be 32 and he'll be 36.
Funny though because we keep talking about it....

Re: Babies
I would do it now if I could DH wants to wait a bit to make sure he gets a job after grad school etc. . which I know is wise but I'm going to be 37 in two weeks and feel like BABY NOOOOOOOOWW!! damn I'm old

Re: Babies
I'm 29 and DH is 35, so time is sort of an issue, however I'd be happy waiting a few more years. But if I got pregnant now we'd be soooooo excited, and we'd adjust (of course).

Re: Babies
DH keeps saying hes going to switch out my BC with sugar pills...so he reallllly wants one now. But we both decided that in a year we will start trying...but of course if something happened earlier we would both be thrilled

Re: Babies
I want to start trying soon, DH would wait 3 years... not that he doesn't want one but he doesn't feel we are stable enough. We turn 30 this year so I would rather try sooner then later in case we have any problems.
We have both agreed to wait at least a year. We want to enjoy all next summer, just us, since this summer seemed non-existent and its our time... with fast boats and parties at the shore, and things we can't do once i am pregnant. We agreed we would start trying (meaning I go off the pill) next fall. But since I am currently subbing I don't know how my job will play into our plans.

You are so NOT old!! I am 41, will be 42 in January. I feel I still have plenty of time. As long as you stay healthy, age is just a number. I have a friend who is 48 and she's having her first baby.

Re: Babies
5 years, although I'd really like to try sooner, but it's a matter of graduate school. I'm not having a baby AND working on my PhD at the same time. I'd kill myself.
