Re: BABY FEVER

I have the fever really bad and we have a few months before we even TTC. I've been trying to 'prepare' a little which makes me feel like I'm closer to it. Like I've been working out, reading a bunch of stuff and I'm going to start prenatal vitamins next month.
It also helps me to concentrate on stuff I enjoy that won't be as easy when (G_d willing) we have kids. Like sleeping in, and going on vacations. We're going to Mexcio next week

Re: BABY FEVER

Similar to Jeng ... I have a slight 'fever' ... not to bad but I do want to wait to save more $, be able to spend alone time with Rob, come and go as I please, and finish up my education ... so I know it's best for me to wait.

I guess when I my 'temperature increases' ... I just tell myself that 'if I had a child, I wouldn't be able to just go shopping or plan our next vacation on a whim' ... those reminders make me remember why we are waiting and then I don't feel as bad.

Good Luck!

Re: BABY FEVER

I've had it since way before we got married - we've been together for almost 10 years.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to deal with it? What do you do to keep it off your mind? I feel that everywhere I got I run into pregnant women. I feel that there are babies/kids everywhere I go. I have pregnant women at work. I know it is mostly because that is the stage I am entering and that is why I notice it more, but it is so darn hard to deal with it when I know I have to wait especially when it is so close.

- I have tried keeping busy with hobbies, doesn't help.
- I have tried being around other kids/babies, but I feel that only makes me want it even more!!!

WHAT ELSE CAN I DO?

Re: BABY FEVER

Don't just 'be around' kids and babies....try taking someone else's kids for an entire weekend....you'll be so tired by the time they go home that you'll be 'calm' about your fever for a little while.

I don't really know what other advice to give you b/c I never experienced what you are talking about. But, I will tell you that you should USE this time prior to having kids wisely....take spontaneous overnight trips, plan romantic evenings for the two of you...etc. You cannot get this time back once it's gone, so just relax and enjoy yourselves!

When the time is right for you, I wish you the best of luck TTC.
