Re: Baby Name Help
I love nicknames so I think Addison presents more options for nicknames! I always loved Madison for a girl.
They're both beautiful names!!!!!!

Re: Baby Name Help
Like I said before, I love both-here's why:
I love Ava because I think of the classic hollywood actress Ava Gardner- (When we're pregnant, if we're having a girl, I'll probably choose something inspired by an old hollywood actress-sorry DH! lol).
BUT
I love Addison because it's a cool alternative to Allison. There's something about the name that it 'pops' to me.
SO for me? I'd pick Ava..but it's a tough decision.
Have you went on nameberry.com? It's a really fun baby name website-and yes I admit I like to go on there when I'm bored! LOL

Re: Baby Name Help
hmm..
i LOVE both of them!!!
ava is i guess maybe a little more common (like more girls might have that name) but yet classic!
addison is a little more unique and modern...
i LOVE grace as the middle name with either name...
i honestly don't think you can go wrong with either one... maybe you'll know it when you set eyes on her for the first time! :o)
but they are both beautiful!!!
eta: i forgot, i voted for ava...but it was a close vote!!

Re: Baby Name Help
Thanks for all the input. I am still torn. We are going w/ grace as the middle name b/c DH's grandmother was grace. So that was easy enough. I love both Ava & Addison. It is so hard. I think I am leaning towards Addison b/c I want her to be able to have a nickname, and I love Addy. Then I think I like Ava more b/c it is so girlie. Then I go back to Addison b/c it is popular but less popular than Ava. I don't want her to be one of five Ava's in her grade. I am scared if we wait until we see her I won't like either name. I already am debating if we are settled on these two. Or list had so many more Isabella, Charlotte, Stella, Chloe, Liberty, Olivia, etc.. Thanks though!!!!
