Back from Vacation

Back from Vacation

So.. we are back from our vacation and I am loving being rested (and tan) and glad Aaron and I finally got to spend some time together! Unfortunately we have been back at work all week so not loving that.

Anyway... just wanted to tell you girls, we stayed at the new Excellence Playa Mujeres in Riviera Maya and it was AWESOME! It is brand new, everything is super modern, the restaurants were good (and we are picky). The service was good for the most part, but we did have a few complaints. I think it is because they are still new and the staff is getting a feel for the place though. Great place to just relax and enjoy the sun.

Glad you had a great vacation! The hotel looks beautiful! DH and I have been trying to plan a trip to Riviera Maya and we've been considering Excellence Riviera Cancun, but now I want to look into the Playa Mujeres. It looks really nice! Just a question though, how was the beach there? I've heard that the beach at the other Excellence isn't that nice, so if the beach at the Playa Mujeres is nice than that would help DH and I make our decision.

The beach was OK, some days were better than others. One day it was really windy and there was a lot of sea-grass, but the other days it was great. The hotel staff actually goes down to the beach and cleans up the sea grass, I thought that was both incredbible and insane at the same time.
