Back home from the in-laws!
I've been having LIW withdrawal! But we are back home now from our long drive and stay to Indiana for Christmas. It was a good time, but to me just did not feel like Christmas. This was the first time ever I did not see my family on Christmas and it was very lonesome at times. I knew my whole family was at my parent's house Christmas day having fun and playing games probably while I was not there. Just a totally different feel to the day. My in-laws have a handful of grandchildren so the day and week was very kid-focused. Fun, but different. I just missed being with my family. I didn;t realize how much it would affect me until the Christmas day when I was getting very upset. But I suppose this was to happen at one time or another. I'm sure as the years go on and our alternating holidays between families will just get easier.
BUT the one thing that is able to lift my spirits is that today is our 1st Anniversary! Yikes! Cannot believe it has been a year already! But a great year it has been.
