bad thing about knowing how to do stuff! lol

So I am pretty computer savvy, and everytime we have had any problems lately everyone has come to me. I am pretty good with figuring them out, but now I was just asked to do something that I have absolutely no idea how to do lol I never told them 'oh yeah, I can do this, and this' they just asked me and I said 'I can mess with it and try to figure it out' most of the time, sometimes by a miracle, I figure it out.

I was just asked to burn a pdf file onto a cd and I realized that we only have DVD-R's and I don't know if the people I am sending it to can open it on their computer. I feel like the lady who gave it to me is going to have a sh!t fit, b/c she will say 'but you know how to do this stuff' ....so much for telling people you can help out! lol

So, does anyone know how I can convert a PDF file of a document onto a DVD-R and will it be okay for someone to open who doesn't have a DVD-R drive???
