Can anyone recommend a bakery near Woodbury/Plainview/Syosset/Hicksville? I want to get a great tasting cake for my dad's birthday tomorrow DH and I will actually be traveling to Queens tomorrow so anyplace off the Northern State or LIE is good too!

There's a bakery in the Plainview shopping center that's supposed to be good..I think it s actually called 'the bakery'

Fairway supermarket on manetto hill road in plainview has an awesome bakery... the best breads and cakes, pasteries cookies. they bake it all right there! i love fairway.

I was just going to suggest this place. It is to die for. I always have to stop there while visiting Levittown.
