I went to the BBB on 6th Ave. and 18th st. the other night to return some luggage and the clerk said that because the internet receipt did not specify what was used to pay for the luggage (ie: Visa, mastercard etc.) that she had to give me a merchandise credit. I didn't argue because I am redecorating and will definitely use the credit, but has anyone else heard of this policy??

Yes, very true. Ask them to pull up your registry and check to make sure it was purchased off the registry. Then demand that they give you CASH back. They gave me over $300 in cash without any problems. I'm sure you can even find that info online if you search for it. Look at their website and then print it out and bring it to the store if you have to.
