DH bought our beach passes yesterday for Long Beach, and last night we get home at 11:30 and there is a message saying they accidently sold us the senior pass and we wont be allowed on the beach with them and we have to be there before 4:00 to exchange them. ummmmmmmmmm we didn't get the message till 11:30 so obviosly we didn't make it by 4. They better exchange them today and not give DH a hard time!! Its not his fault they screwed up!

well we thought we were buying a family pass and it was $50. We will see if they have to charge him more when he exchanges them.

i was actually thinking about getting passes for long beach. can i get them even if im from queens? how much do they run?

I think you can but it costs more. Im really not sure though!

I'm from queens and I get a pass every year. Yes, it does cost more though. I am considering Jones beach this year as it might cost less.

maybe also look into point lookout- thats another very nice beach!!

That is really annoying because they have these high school kids working the booth and they don't care and you have to end up dealing with the hassle.

LOL so true! Sunday we didn't have our passes so we said we would walk and get them. So we borrowed froma friend and went back and got our beach stuff and then used our friends pass. they really dont care. But then beach patrol was walking around making people show their passes- they even kicked out some people!
