before/after pics of my house

Well, I told you all I'd do it and FINALLY I have the before & after pics on my computer.

Since we're only renting, DH & I weren't about to go EXTREME with our home makeover. But we definitely made it more US, ya know?

The space is kinda small in some areas, so it was difficult to get a good angle (that's what she said) , but you get the idea!!

Here's my new house in Colorado

Actually we did a little more to this room since the picture was taken. Plus we've gotten rid of those crazy curtains and put up shades

Isn't it crazy how this whole house (with a basement & garage) in Colorado actually costs HALF THE PRICE of a Studio Apartment in New York??? Makes me almost never want to go back. lol. But I will soon enough - I miss home I LOVE this place though. So cute & cozy.

And yesss - doesn't it piss you off a little at how extreme the difference is in house value?? I wish sooo bad that NY was the same as CO when it comes to money. Oh well.

thanks guys! That makes me happy to hear. We worked hard to make it more of a Newlywed's home, rather than how the old woman lived in it before us. Would you believe that there was ONLY a bathtub in this house when we moved in??? We spent our first few weeks here JUST taking baths. Totally disturbing. lol. DH converted it into a shower though (I'm so proud of him for figuring out how. It looks amazing).

But I was mad when we first moved in because the stupid landlord barely got rid of the old woman's stuff (it was his mother's house before us). So we had to spend the first few days JUST clearing all of HER crap outta the way and now it's taking up a lot of space in our basement. So that kinda suckss. But oh well.


ETA - you should have seen the CAR that was still parked in the driveway when we first came to look at the place. Looked just like the freakin' batmobile. lol.
