The other day I walked into DH's office and his staff all said, 'Hi Mrs. Rxxxx'
I STILL feel wierd being called Mrs. and I am married almost a year! But it feels good!
Anyone else?

Re: Being called MRS.
It sounds a little weird to be called Mrs Zxxxxx but I had been called Mrs Mxxxxxxxx(maiden name) sooooo many times because of my daughter. I had even heard Mrs Vxxxxx because of my former fiance. So the Mrs isn't the weird part but the Zxxxxxxx is!

I'm totally used to my married name, but the Mrs. thing still gets me. I'd rather everyone call me Lisa then Mrs. anything.

Re: Being called MRS.
Karen I had my new insurance card under my DH waiting for me when I got home from HM. It had my married name on it which obviously I hadn't changed yet. Since I kept my insurance through my job for a little while I had to scurry around & change that insurance & my medical records so that the names all matched.

i am hoping this will give me the incentive to get my butt down to SS and DMV!! i am guessing if i try to use the medical card, there are going to be some issues, since the names don't match.

Re: Being called MRS.
If your medical records have your maiden name on them then that is the name Dr will send to ins. co. and that is where the problem would be. May not get paid.
I work in billing for a large medical group and I've seen it happen.
My problem was even more complicated. Primary insurance was through my DH with Married name & secondary ins. and Medical Records were in maiden name.
The only thing I have left to change is DMV!

Re: Being called MRS.
There haven't been too many opportunities for people to call me Mrs. First of all, I teach in a school where the teachers are called by their first names. Last fall, however, I bought a pair of shoes and my credit card still has my maiden name, so the saleswoman said, 'Have a nice day, Mrs. Rxxx' using the name on the card. I was a bit put off because there are women who kept their maiden name so you can't assume that they are a Mrs., but a Ms. instead. So I corrected her, she apologized, then I felt bad for correcting her, so I apologized.

Re: Being called MRS.
I never really thought about this....but, then again...I've never been called 'Mrs. Cxxxx' by anyone that works with my hubby. I've only been called 'Mrs. Cxxxx' by Paul's doctors - and it just seems so natural that once you're a Mommy, they call you Mrs.!

Re: Being called MRS.
I am having trouble getting used to my new name.
I started a new job in Jan, and that is when I officially changed it at work. It was too confusing to change it at my existing job, so I waited. I sign it pretty easily, but still have trouble saying it.

Re: Being called MRS.
Every now and again people call me Mrs. But it's usually people at work just being cute with me. For the most part it's just sales people that call me Mrs.
Although when I see it written when I get mail, I do get the warm fuzzies still.
