Best 2009 moment

What was your favorite moment in 2009 besides your wedding?????



Mine would be when we were on the horrendous bus ride on our HM from the airport to Sandals and we stopped at the bar on the side of the road. We got some beer and chicken and had an awesome view of part of St Lucia!!!! That got me so excited for my HM


ETA: and all of our fabulous jerk chicken lunches with Jen and John on our HM!

The best moment is our entire HM and just being so excited to be married and loving every moment of our unforgettable time in paradise.

And seeing DH get a massage for the 1st time ever and foot reflexology. That was priceless!!!

Def saying I do!!!
waiting for that moment since i was a little girl! and having that come true was amazing for me!

lol i should really read the whole post before i post mine!! lol

well besides my wedding i would say when we found out our offer was accepted on a house!!!
before the offer was accepted i was flipping out cuz of how expensive it will be and i was nervous DH was going to be like we are rushing into this because it was only the second house we saw, but the second i got the new my worries just went to straight excitement! and same with DH! he was completely happy! it was a great moment!!!

(we will see how we are feeling when we start paying that mortgage! hahahaha)

My friends getting married ... I introduced one of my best friends from HS to one of my best friends from college ... they've been together forever and they got married 20 days before DH and I did ... I was the only BM who wasn't one of the bride's sisters and to stand up there and watch them get married - and subsequently all the other moments of the day - well, suffice it to say I cried buckets. I am getting teary just thinking about it! It was such a wonderful day!

And at the end of it I realized that DH and I were up next and got so excited!

That bus ride was so long but fun bc we got to meet you guys!!! and Bill & Ashley.. oh and the canadians! haha and get a little tipsy on the way there as well since we were forced to buy 4 beers bc the guy didnt have change And of course the view was amazing.

I would have to agree the honeymoon was amazing and probably the highlight of 2009 (besides from the wedding of course)

Bill and Ashley were hysterical! I am friends with them on FB and they just got the cutest puppy!

Our 2nd wedding at our HM destination - it was on the beach just the 2 of us. The sounds probably so bad...but it actually meant so much more- b/c w/our 1st ceremony we got married in Russian Orthodox Church - & that ceremony WAS beautiful! NOTHING could take away from that. The only problem is that in othrodox ceremonies no vows are spoken & DH & I felt somewhat 'shortchanged' as far as being able to say how we really feel about each other. So when we had booked our HM @ Sandals & found out they offered a free weddingmoon w/ a 6 night stay or longer in a concierge room or higher we knew what we had to do.

(Ok so we kinda fibbed to the people @ Sandals that we werent already married so we didnt have to pay for the ceremony - put hey we paid for it in all the picture we ended up buying...lol! ) It was the best decision we ever made. It was on the beach, just the 2 of us, we decided to do the sand ceremony as well & the speech/words that go along with it were SO beautiful, I couldnt NOT cry! DH & I were BOTH crying! It was such a beautiful day! We will always say this was the next best day to our original wedding day!

birth of my nephew danny!!!!!!!!

Buying our house! We didn't get possession right away at the closing (the sellers didnt move out for 3 days after) but the first time we walked in the house after being handed the keys was just such a great feeling.

DH (he was FH then) even carried me over the threshhold). The two of us sat in the empty dirty living room with a bottle of champagne and were just so happy!

Seeing how spoiled my mom got (in a good way) for the wedding. Having dress fittings..having her hair and makeup done. Just seeing HER getting pampered and spoiled.

AND having her at the wedding. 2 weeks before she fell on the porch stairs and had 25 stitches in her leg.

Although I hate to admit it, the second ceremony we had in Israel (i wasn't into it at first). However, DH's aunt created an inter-faith ceremony with many of the jewish traditions and it was really heartfelt and very touching. It was a nice surprise because I didn't know we were having that ceremony at all.

And of course our first night in our new home. After a month of remodeling, it was nice to be home.

Our honeymoon was so much fun. We had such a great time together and met some really awesome people.

AND, buying a house that we love. Sure, we have a lot of updating to do but we love it!

i had a very exciting year...

married my love
got a new car
got a new job
got a new puppy!

the honeymoon was a lot of fun ,but my favorites memories are those hanging w/ my DH and friends on those WARM SUMMER NIGHTS!
