Re: Best Way to Freeze your Wedding Cake?

We put the cake in a tupperware container (get size as close to cake as possible) then wrapped the tupperware container with 2 layers of aluminum foil.

Our cake was delicious after 1 year!

Good luck.

Re: Best Way to Freeze your Wedding Cake?

Ours was in the box, then wrapped in sarah wrap then aluminum foil then sarah wrap and aluminum foil again and it survived 2 moves and tasted pretty good!

Re: Best Way to Freeze your Wedding Cake?

Mine somehow was put in the BOTTOM of the box to take home and was mushed by the time we got home. My DH ate it all the next day because it wasn't freezable!

I was kinda mad at the Watermill for doing that.

Re: Best Way to Freeze your Wedding Cake?

I cut the top up into slices and put every 2 slices into a Ziplock freezer bag. There are a bunch of little freezer bags of cake in there now, but they take up very little room, and we're not goign to wait a year anyway!
We'll each have a slice on special occasions and holidays, and then save one for our anniversary I think.

Re: Best Way to Freeze your Wedding Cake?

I think slicing is a good idea. I like that, having a slice for special occasions, very cute!
