I've been following this story really closely too!

Unfortunately, my gut says it's the hubby. However, if it is her hubby, i would feel a little relieved in a weird way... to me, it's less scary than the possibility that a random stranger abducted her when she got a flat tire on the side of the road. Either way, it's horrifying that stuff like this happens.

I hope they get to the bottom of it very soon!

I feel the same way. It is horrible that this happened (and my gut also says he did it), but it does make me feel a little better knowing there's not some random crazy person snatching up girls on LI.

FROM NEWSDAY:

Days after a Long Island teacher was reported missing in a case that drew national attention, police said Wednesday night that Leah Walsh's husband is in police custody.

William Walsh, 29, will be charged with murder, according to the Associated Press, after a body found earlier in the day in the woods was identified as the missing teacher.

The whereabouts of Leah Walsh, 29, had been a mystery ever since her car was found Monday morning abandoned along the Seaford-Oyster Expressway.

On Wednesday morning, the body of a white woman was found in a wooded area in North Hills. At about 8:30 p.m., investigators confirmed the body was Walsh's.

Her husband had pleaded for the public's help in finding his wife. The two were married for three years, had no children, and lived together on Marbourne Road in Bethpage, sources said.....

the rest of it is just basically the same stuff...

I'm seriously sick over this whole thing

Absolutely terrible!

I was discussing this with a few friends last night... How effing sick is it that husbands are just KILLING their wives? I've heard so many cases lately and it makes me sick to my stomach.

How could ANYONE kill another person, let alone family or a child.... it doesn't make any sense to me.

I know and divorce is so simple and common now-a-days. It makes no sense.
