Bitter sweet anniversary

Original post by Espo22

Well saturday we went to Kooza(cirque du soleil) BTW Danielle(yelley) it was amazing, definitely worth going to. After we went out for drinks and some food to the place we had our first date.

But yesterday on the actual day of our anniversary we got bad news, DH's grandmother passed away that morning. It's crazy bc they had given her 2 weeks almost a year ago and i remember last year just praying she makes it to our wedding, i had such a fear she would pass away right before or on our day and not be able to attend. Weird how she it happened on 1 year anniversary. Also the wake is today, tomorrow and burial is wednesday, which is his dad's birthday and this is his dads mom.

I hope all my date twins had an amazing anniversary, wish you all the best and a lifetime of happiness

THANK YOU VERY MUCH

i also forgot to say that we did have a nice surprise. We came home to find the bedroom all decorated, with rose petals all over the floor and on the bed and petals in a heart shape on the bed, champagne in a wine chiller with strawberries, and candles. My parents did which was real nice surprise. Its funny bc i walk in and its all dark of course and i almost yelled at DH asking what he did bc theres stuff all over the floor lol, it was dark so i saw something but didnt see what yet lol

Aww so sorry! I am glad you had her around for a year longer than you thought.

Also glad Kooza was good, I want to see it. How does it compare to Vegas Cirque shows?

Re: Bitter sweet anniversary

thank you very much Jenna and Cindy

Jenna-i have no idea how it compares, i never saw Cirque du soleil in vegas. But from seeing it on tv, it looks like vegas has bigger stage. Dh also had seen one in battery park in the city a few years ago and he liked this, well he didn't compare but he was saying how amazed he was at so many of the things. I am guessing this is more smaller intimate setting. No matter where you sit you would have a great view.

Denise, that was sooo sweet of your parents.

I'm really sorry about DH's Gram.
My grandma is 93 and the only one left and just went into a nursing home so I completely sympathize.

Aww, I'm so sorry to hear that! And just recently I was wondering how she was doing. I always remember you saying how close he was to her.

happy anniversary denise! how was Buddakan?

I'm sorry about your DH's grandmother but glad she was there on your wedding day. i had none of my grandparents there and cried right before the wedding because I missed them so much. It's a gift to be able to share that with them. God bless her and I'm sorry for your loss
