Does anyone have Bob's sofas? How do they hold up?
DH liked one of their sets and I'm nervous about quality. Any input is appreciated!!!

Re: Bob's Furniture?
hi there-
me and my DH didnt live together beofre marriage so when we moved in after the wedding we needed all furniture. We shopped around, a lot, all along route 110 actually.
we narrowed it down to 2 living room sets, one from Bob's and one from jennifer convertibles, only $100 proce difference. now looking back I wish we had gotten the jennifer set.
Our bobs set really wore down and we've only had it for 5 months. The things is the coffee and side tables are nice and solid, but the actual sofa and loveseat are not good. The material on the sofa is not durable... like it was soft in the beginning and smooth and now its getting to be like a raggedy sweater... you know? I cant explain it.
My personal opinion for the sofa and loveseat, do not get it from bobs. If you want a table or something like that though go for it, but nothing with material.

Thank you! That was my fear. I just didn't feel like it was the greatest quality. We also found a set in some hole in the wall place that seemed great and was a great price but I think I would rather buy somewhere with a 'name' just in case something goes wrong. Ugh. VERY frustrating!
Thanks for the help!

Re: Bob's Furniture?
We bought our living room set from Bob's back in May. We have 2 leather couches and end tables from them. SO far we havent had any problems with anything. We use them alot (I fall asleep on them practically every night b/c it's so comfortable!) and have not seen any wear signs at all. But we also have a warranty on ours that if for any reason, and trust me I grilled them alot about this, they mean ANY reason, there is any damage to the couches (rips in the leather, stains, etc.) they send people out to fix it free of charge. ANd if for some reason they cant fix it, they'll replace it.

Re: Bob's Furniture?
i know someone who bought furniture from there and they had to send it back 3 times because each time it was delivered there were scratches/marks. As far as I know it held up well but they said they wouldnt buy from there again

Re: Bob's Furniture?
i bought my set from raymour and flanigan earlier this year and i went to bob's last weekend and they had the exact same one but the quality was obviously different. all the fabric couches just didnt seem like they would hold up, i dont know about the leather ones though. maybe check raymour and see if they have something similar.

Re: Bob's Furniture?
i have a sofa and love seat from Bob's and they are holding up VERY well. My DH plops on it, we both fall asleep on them had a few parties with them - no issues.
We got the goof proof plan too and we've used it 2 times already (read as: DH as a clutz) and they come right away and clean it!

Re: Bob's Furniture?
We bought our LR set from there a year and a half ago. It held up great----no problems! They gave us a 5-year warranty for free and will come clean any stains. DH actually sleeps on the couch most nights---he hates our mattress!
