A few books have been tossed around but it looks like The Lovely Bones is pretty popular!

Okay. Since this is Jenny's idea I say she gets to do the final chose on the first book. The Lovely Bones is a great choice- IMO.

No fair Michele - you have already read it :D just kidding.

Re: Book CLUB

If its the lovely bones, i think people will have a hard time renting them from the library, i just called 3 libraries, and they all have waiting lists for this book.. however borders website says its only 13.00!!

Re: Book CLUB

If that is the book that is decided on...then I will be done reading it by the GTG and anyone is welcome to borrow it.

Its a good book..

LUCKY!

Re: Book CLUB

The other one is Lucky (if I am not mistaken). It is a biography about her rape in college. It is not the easiest book to get thru, neither in The Lovely Bones but it is worth the time to read.

I would LOVE to discuss The Lovely Bones and I read almost 2-3 per months because of my commute so I am up for almost any book.
But it seems that the majority of girls want to read it and it is worth every penny of the money. Buy.com has it for about $10.00

So as soon as Jenny gives the okay, we'll start.

Lisa: I would love to borrow it if you dont mind.

I read Lucky and I didnt think it was that great.

For all those readers, I will bring some books to give away. Once I read a book, I never read it again so there is no reason for me to keep it.

Just wanted to add that I read this book - they have it at Costco for a pretty good price - around $12.00 I think.

Re: Book CLUB

Stef, what kinds of book do you have? My bookshelf is about to tumble over. I am cutting myself off from buying anymore books

Re: Book CLUB

Stef, that's a great idea ... I may do the same. I've got some old Oprah book club books that I'd give away if anyone wanted them.

Re: Book CLUB

I dont even know what I have but they are all best sellers/easy reads. I will go home and check. If no one wants them, I will just trash um at Papa Joes.
