Bora Bora

Did anybody go to Bora Bora (tahiti) for their honeymoon?

My husband and I were thinking of taking a vacation there and I thought I would ask those who may have went if they liked it.

Also I know they are known for their beautiful black pearls did anyone purchase or look into this while in Tahiit?

Thanks for any help or insight you may have.

I went - you will love it. It's truly paradise. We stayed at Bora Bora Nui. It was perfect. I would highly recommend it.

I did buy a black pearl necklace. I would say it's better to buy it in Tahiti or Moorea though - they have a much larger selection. They start around $500 and go up to tens of thousands of dollars.

My boss went on her HM a month after me and bought a $17k necklace!! Must be nice!!!!

ME ME ME.... and I loved it!!! I wish we were there now.

I also bought a necklace and earrings. Not too bad as far as US prices are, but make sure you get them on Tahiti or Moorea.

DH and I went to Bora Bora on our Honeymoon. We stayed at the Le Meridien - It was absolutely gorgeous - i cant wait to go back!

I did get a pearl pendent on Moorea - I wish i bought earrings!

You sure must of had an amazing time!!!

My husdand and I didn't get to go anywhere on our 1st wedding anniversary. He is a resident at StonyBrook Hospital and he hardly has anytime off. We also have been trying to save for the trip.
Money is tight with his student loans that he has.

On our honeymoon we went to Disney World and Las Vegas. First time in Vegas. We had a great time but this time we are looking for a relaxing kind of trip and this just looks amazing.

Me I wen t on a cruise there. It was great. I did a review about Aug 2004. I got a black pearl there too. Buy it loose and get it setin the states, it is less $$ to do it that way and you know what u r getting when it is set . ( Gold wise.) HTH.

We went to French Polynesia, too. We went to Tahiti, Moorea, and took a one-week catamaran cruise visiting Huahine, Raiatea, Tahaa, and Bora-Bora. We stayed an extra night at Bora-Bora Nui. It's one of the most beautiful hotels I've ever seen, and the service is impeccable. We bought a black pearl pendant in Moorea at Island Fashion Black Pearls. The owner is American, and a very nice guy. He sat down and took a long time explaining to us all the different factors involved in buying a pearl, and never tried to push just the expensive ones at us.
