Our one year anniversary is the end of June, me and DH will both be out of work/school so we want to go away but no flying....i hate it, I need a year off from flying! I was thinking of driving up to Boston and spending a few days there....
Can any of you recommend a hotel? restaurants? What to do? We want to go to Fenway Park, kinda scary for a Yankee fan lol, but instead of a game I think we might just do a tour of it. Any ideas on what else we can do?
Thanks girls

Re: Boston??? 1 year getaway
I did a boston post recently...i go for work all the time.
I always stay at either the Taj, the Westin at Copley Place or the Lenox. The Lenox is the most affordable, the Taj is the most classic but amazing service and the Westin has amazing views if you're an SPG member.
There is also a Marriot at Copley thats close as well.
Shop on Newbury, and check out the Pru. Eat at Stephanie's on Newbury, Abe and Louies is great, have a drink at Vox, go to Quincy Market, check out a Sox game because its one of the oldest parks in baseball, do a duck tour.
I think thats it! Let me know if you have questions!!!!!!!!!!

I love Elephant Walk to eat -- there are two of them. It's French and Cambodian food. Delicious! We went there with my parents for graduation dinner.
Walking around Harvard Square is always fun since there are cute little shops and fun places to wander. I love the Quincy Market / Faneuil Hall area too. We went to a place in the North End called Tia's during college that was really good but I don't know if it's still there since that was several years ago.

Definitely go shopping on Newbury St!
I've only ever been to Boston once, on a work trip, but I DEFINITELY want to go up for a weekend this summer. It's so cute!

I am DYING to go the the Cafe Fleuri Chocolate Bar at the Langham Hotel..I saw it on one of those food shows once and now I'm on a mission. It's Saturday afternoons from Sept-June only, and this year the last Saturday is 6/26, so depending when you go you could make it. If you're a dessert nut, this could be awesome.
