WAHOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! If there aren't already enough good things happening in my family, my 2 brothers got engaged!!!!!!
Oh my goodness, I'm so thrilled!!! I knew the younger one was getting engaged 'soon'...I helped him pick out the stone and design her setting , but the older one, who, BTW, has been living w/ his gf (now FW!) for 10+ years, SHOCKED us!!!
AAAAAANNNNND, he's getting married November 10th!! THIS November 10th!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!! Thank goodness the younger one is waiting until May, 2004!!
Really, I thought my sweet nephew, my mom's big retirement bash at Milleridge and my new house was enough excitement, but it just keeps getting better!!!!!!
Now all I need is a positive EPT!!
God is good!!!!!!!

Good question, Michele. That thought did cross the minds of many of my sisters!! Unfortunately, that's not the reason for the 4 week 'engagement'. It's her 2nd marriage (she has a 15 yo son that my brother has helped raise since he's 4) and my brother has always been a Vegas/City Hall/'I'm never getting married' type of guy.
They're having a totally non-traditional affair read: no frills whatsoever, with 150+ guests!! My FSIL feels it can be done...of course, she expects 'assistance' from her FH's 6 sisters and her own 3 sisters.
Frankly, I think she's nuts!! LOL But, it's their wedding and I'm staying out of it!!
It is a wonderful time for my family - we deserve it and we're just going to enjoy it!!

KATHI, Your big family is getting bigger, thats SOOOO GREAT ! (WOW, God Bless you have 7 siblings ?? I LOVE LOVE LOVE BIG families !!!!) So did your brothers get engaged 'together', is there a story behind it that was planned out ?

Yes, my family is *huge*!! I have 2 brothers and 5 sisters. 2 BIL's and 2 FSIL's... 5 nephews & 1 niece (poor thing!) With me, DH & my mom...that makes an even 'Party of 20'.
I love every minute of it!!
