Has anyone ever used those bags (kinda like the green bags for veggies) that are supposed to keep bread fresh longer? do they work?

Re: Bread Bags?
I remember reading on here (not this board) that a girl bought them and said they were a waste of money.

I never heard of them, sorry...it reminds me of those Debbie Meyer green bags for produce, I wonder if they are any good.

Yep I second this! Just squeeze all the air out of the bad and it's the same thing! Also, put the bread in the fridge, it should stay fresh about a week longer!

I like the green bags. They work, but not as good as they claim to.
I think my parents use the bread bags. I'm not sure how they are though. They say the deli meat bags work though.
We dont eat much bread in my house so I freeze 3/4 of the loaf in a freezer bag and leave 1/4 out at a time.

I didn't even know they made the bread bags. MIL has the veggie ones and they work well. I'll have to see if she has tried the bread bags.
