Brides that have done their album designs already...

How many pictures of yourself did you put in the album? Meaning portraits of you alone? And DH alone? We're having a hard time narrowing down, and I don't want this to be an album of me!

If I had my way, I wouldn't have had any pictures of me alone. I didn't like those. I think it was the light blue backdrop they used. It made me look years older.
I think we have a good mix of pictures of both of us. I do think there may be a couple more of me because they took pictures of the bride's family before the ceremony. I can't say for sure though. I haven't looked at the album in months.

I felt the same way - I even started the same thread back in January!

I think I did 2 of me alone (one close up and one full length) and 1 of DH alone (we didn't have too many of those anyway!). The woman who helped us design our album wanted me to put at least 4 but I cut them out. The big thing I didn't want was the album starting with me - so I picked a different picture to start with - oneof our invite with our flowers. The designer woman hated this idea and was so adamant that the book should start with my face. We compromised and the first real picture is me but I start my allbum with my real invite!

That's what drives me nuts, I have about 6 pictures of me alone that can be used, out of about 20 taken. DH has 2 that can be used out of only 4 taken!

I want the same thing, the album to start with the invite and not my mug! I'd just feel so self absorbed if it's a ton of pictures of my mug.

Liz, are you doing your design soon also? We made our appt, and it's very nervewracking! I don't want to spend another 500 bucks!!

Im still working on it (the digital) but i have I dont have any big photos of just me alone. In fact, I dont really have any 'portraits' (where you stare straight into the camera) type photos. I dont think those tell the story and I wanted to save space for the really good story telling photos.

I have a few pages for the getting ready part and when Luke saw them he wanted to know where 'his' page was. Too bad for him, he doesnt get one :P

Len and I have so many pics of us alone, and I love every single one, it will be hard for me not to put a lot in. Most of them turned out great.

I'm going to make my appt on Friday when I go, probably hopefully for as late as possible. I think I have to by Aug 20.

I wanted to just get it done. I'm so tired of the wedding crap already I want it over with. We go in two weeks and it's not soon enough!

There are a lot of portraits of us together that I loooove so I'll go a little nuts with those. I think I'll try and keep my mug to 2 or 3 pictures, and the rest I want party stuff. I kind of agree with what Stef said, pictures of me staring into the camera doesn't tell the story...hmmmm.

To be honest, I can't think of any 1 pose just of me! I guess there are a few (we did this a while ago) but I can't remember now....if anything, it's only a few.
Most of our pictures are of both of us, or us with BP and/or family members.

We had 66 pictures in total...I think I put 4 of me alone and 2 of my husband.

I finally did my layout and if I remember correctly I only have one pic in there that is only me. I took the telling the story route and also I think the album looks one sided when its a lot of pics of the bride alone. There are tons of pics in our album of DH and I but just one with me alone.

I am so glad you asked this question. I normally don't photograph well but I love the ones of me alone and I am having trouble deciding which one or ones to pick. I feel the same way!

I think I have 3 of me alone - one's a full page, the other two are a combo page of 4. There aren't any pictures of Al alone - I think only 2 were taken!

I have two of me alone, though much more were taken of me alone. There are actually 3 of DH alone - he is more vain than me I guess. We liked them, they came out nicely. The rest are us together, with family and BP....one of some guests dancing, and a room shot.

We have a separate invitation page, but no picture of our invitation with the flowers/rings type thing. So the first 'real' picture is of me. There is only one of me alone, and one of DH alone. Everything else is either us together or some other combo shot.
