Brides who bought the negatives

What size are they? Are they hard or really expensive to have them developed elsewhere? I have the opportunity to buy my negatives on Saturday for $100 and not sure if it's worthwhile. Any advice?

If you plan to make a lot of reprints in now in the future, aside from those in your contract, I think it's worth it. The mark-up on enlargements is insane through the studios.

My negatives were part of my package. i only looked at places that gave them to you as part of the package. I used them to get pictures developed after the wedding and had no issues doing so. I brought them to a one hour photo (only because I wanted them quickly). They were bigger than normal negatives from a regular camera - but still no issues.

Mine are also included in my contract, but I think $100 is totally worth it to buy them. Think about it, if you had 8X10 made for your bridal party from the photographer it would cost well over $100.
