Brides who did not have engagement pics taken

Did you have a practice session? My photographer suggested one, but I'm not sure if we need to do this. He wanted to wait until it got close to our date for me to meet with the photographer that he assigned for me. But, I asked him to schedule it in advance since we live and work in the city and he's in Suffolk. Now we're having a scheduling conflict for next week (a few days before my wedding), and I might not meet with my photographer until that day!!!

Should I be worrying about this??

We didn't have engagement pics taken and I don't think it made any difference for us. We were happy with the results. We chose an independent photographer and met with him at the outset. His personality was something that was a deciding factor for us. If I had booked with a studio and never met the photographer then I think I would want to meet him or her beforehand if possible.
