One thing to check - I thing Brightwaters is an incorporated town which means an additional tax bill. Not sure about Brightwaters Farms. When we looked in Lake Grove there was an additional 5 or 6 hundred more a year in taxes above and beyond the township taxes. Your realtor should be able to tell you if that's the case.

I agree. It is just a nice part of a bigger town. Check into the schools. I think they are all bayshore.

I live in Brightwaters.
There is a big difference between Brightwaters and brightwaters Farms.
Brightwaters farms is actually Bay Shore.
It's just north of Sunrise Highway.
No part of Brightwaters is north of Sunrise.
Yes, we are an incorporated village and have our own tax. I love one of the services that the extra taxes pay for... They pick up my garbage in my garage, right from the cans!! Never have to put out the garbage again!



If you are on a budget you may have more choices in Bay Shore. I can't say enough about brightwaters though. We have been here 2 years and I love it.

My Aunt lives in Brightwaters right on the Concourse--on the canal--IT'S BEAUTIFUL!! sorry that's all i know! LOL That & she is in Bayshore schools--but her kids were grown when they moved there-so it wasn't an issue-

For those interested, I went to look at three houses in Brighthwaters Farms today. THEY WERE ALL GROSS!!! and I mean GROSS! I went to look in plain Brightwaters afterwards and boy is there a difference!!! OH well, let the search continue.....
