I am an etsy freak However - I am not sure I get the point of that anywayz

im sure a lot of environmentalists would use something like that.

the same way people use cloth diapers...

but how so..? B/C it is brown? it still looks padded. I am not sure if the padding breaks down

maybe the cover is removeable & u'd wash it??? & toss the stuff that's inside??(maybe the stuff that's inside is different from what regular pads ar e made of ??) i dunno - GRRROOSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! bringing back the smiley's..this is all i have to say:

Re: Browsing etsy.com and found this??

ok apparently, there are quite a few

here is what one of them wrote:
This reusable pad is earth friendly and body friendly! Tampons and regular maxi pads contain dioxins, which can be VERY harmful to your body!
Not to mention the dumps we are filling up with disposable menstrual products...think of all those applicators too!
Go green, keep the earth clean...and keep your most precious parts happy!
This particular pad is perfect for Valentine's Day, with soft comfortable heart flannel, and on the other side cotton kisses!
The pads that I make are unique because you get 2 inserts for the pad:
The first insert is for light days
The second one is for medium days
then if you double them up, it is perfect for the beginning of your menses!!!
They close by a little metal snap!
Wait, how is flannel gonna protect me from leakage?
Well all of my pads come with Pul fabric on the inserts, which is the fabric used to make reusable diapers!

I went to school with a lot of hippies so honestly, something like this doesn't surprise me..

here is another description why:
Why would I want to use cloth menstral pads??
-Disposable paxi pads actually have chemicals that PULL the blood from your uterus, causing you to bleed more per cycle. This is very bad for your body!! Using natural fibers between your knees is a very healthy decision for both you and the earth. You will find that you get shorter, lighter periods after switching to cloth pads as well as LESS CRAMPS!

I would have to broaden my own thinking & perspective to understand it...

for example.. people that would use something like this would probably have a different lifestyle than I do... eat different foods (vegen, organic) and have a TOTALLY different period than I do...

you know?
