I want to try making them- I found a recipe that bakes them instead of frying them- but where do I find the little chicken pieces- I only see huge wings at the supermarket

Re: Buffalo Wings Question
if you can't find the little pieces, you are going to have to get down and dirty. This is actually my favorite part lol but, it still works.
Take the piece of chicken, and seperate it from the joint that connects the 'drum stick' looking part to the wing. You will need a very sharp, good knife for this.
Then just trim away some of the extra skin that may be flopping around, and trim them up, it really only takes a few minutes, but if you can't chop down hard enough on the bone, you will have a hard time and even may risk cutting yourself, so just be careful. Sometimes I ask DH to do it b/c I am afraid the knife might slip and I may cut myself.
Voila! you have yourself some wings :)
I just realized that you may be talking about the huge thighs. Is that what you are seeing? Or is it just the whole piece. If they look small like a normal wings, but they are still attached then all you have to do is cut them, if not, then I answered this incorrectly and will now go sit in the corner. :(

Re: Buffalo Wings Question
The supermarket usually sells them----they just may be running low bc every1 is buying them for the superbowl. Try another grocery store!
