Burton Brides--Please let me know how they did
I am just a little nervous because of their great prices. I am getting married in May 2004 at Land's End (they are one of their vendors) but just do not want to be disappointed if the flowers look cheezy. I want them to be fresh and full. But, hey--if the price is that good and they do a good job that is one way to cut costs-right???If you used them-were you happy and did you feel like they did a good job. Also, what did you pay? Thanks.

We were very happy with Burtons. They did a beautiful job on all our flowers. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

Re: Burton Brides--Please let me know how they did
I used Burton Flowers. And for me I would say they were just OK. There were two things that bothered me.First, my throw-away bouquet looked nothing like the rest of my flowers. I had all red roses for all my flowers. The throw away bouquet was some cheap looking white flowers. I was so disappointed that I did not do the anniversary dance I had planned because I was embarassed to give away the bouquet.
And Second, I had ordered two 7 foot Christmas Trees for the reception hall (I had a December Wedding). I was lucky if the trees were 5 and 1/2 feet. In pictures, I look taller than the trees.
But I did like my bouquet and the centerpieces.

Although I didn't use them myself, I knew they had great prices so I recommended my now SIL check them out, as she was on a very tight budget. She bought the centerpiece holders (tin watering cans) and had them provide the flowers. She also bought holders for the BM (tin half planters with a handle). This saved her alot of money.
Everything was beautiful! I was flower obsessed at my own wedding and spent an absolute fortune! Hers were very different than mine, but she got so many complements and they really did look beautiful. I don't know the amount but she said they did well with her as far as price.

Oh I used them and I have to tell you...they went above and beyond what I expected. I too was nervous, and the day of my wedding was amazing. They sent extra centerpieces for my place card table and bridal suite (for free) and they were lovely, my bo-k's were exceptional, my throw away bo-k looked exactly like mine! I cant even tell you how many people are still complementing my flowers. They were so affordable, and yet the most beautiful flowers. Way more than I expected! Here are some pics...I was married at flowerfield and it looked incredible. Let me know if you want to see more pics, or if you want more info!

I used Burtons and loved my flowers too!I heard about the throw away bouquet so I made sure I requested it to look like mine. My friend used them for their wedding and their flowers came out great too! My sister is using them for her February wedding and another friend is using them in July.

Burton Review
This was my review of Burtons: B-I thought they did a decent job on the flowers for the most part. The issues I have with them are that they may not be as details-oriented as I would have like (explained below) - but these may be things that only the bride would be concerned with but the guests would probably not notice. I chose them because they are very reasonably priced for the type of flowers I wanted. I chose some exotic flowers (birds of paradise, orchids, anthuriums, ginger, roses, calla lilies) which would have cost a lot more elsewhere. My centerpieces looked fine in general- I thought my high centerpieces could have been a bit fuller with flowers, but maybe 'cuz I picked exotic flowers I got less. They did do a great job on my bouquet -I loved how it turned out but it was missing a particular rose that I had asked for. They were short in delivering a boutinere (sp?) at the wedding and by the time we noticed it was kind of late to call them. I also noticed that the ribbon tied to my bouquet was a bit dirty. And I had two of what they called 'alter' flower arrangements on tulle stands for my ceremony which sounded like they would be big arrangements (the florist described them as big requiring bigger types of flower to fill it) which I was very disappointed with (I probably should have asked to see a picture) - they looked like the size of the low table centerpieces placed on a wire stand. And the worst part of the alter flowers was that they didn't remove these yellow paper tags that was attached to the top of each of the arrangement (the paper had our names on it to indicate to the delivery person which arrangement went to what event) so during the ceremony I notice the tags and they show up in all my ceremony pictures! And to top that off, I think they may have overcharged me on the final bill - I talked to one person there about it but he told me I had to contact the person I contracted with and I have yet to reach that person. If you are on a budget and flowers are not as important as other things then they are a OK florist. But if you want something special or very detailed then you may want to checkout other florists because they tend to be a 'factory' of sorts - I didn't feel like I got the personalization as some other brides did.

Re: Burton Brides--Please let me know how they did
I used them and loved their work. often, a throw away boo-k is not a replica of the real bridal boo-k. You can ask them if you want it made that way though.I was very involved in my flowers. Mike and I spoke often and I saw samples of both my boo-k and my centerpieces before the wedding day.
My boo-ks and centerpieces were perfect. I also beautiful table arrangements. I highly recommend them.
Their prices are really good because they do not have a showroom or advertise. that saves a lot on overhead.

I loved them as well, for the price of something that you want to look beautiful but really does die in the end, they are great. They didn't disappoint me at all. They provided my flowers for the top of my cake and threw on flowers for our table as well.Welcome New Vendors
