Ive been using Ebay for years and have never had a problem. Would you buy a used laptop? I want a Macbook and dont want to pay 1500 for a new one when I can get a like new one on ebay. Should I stop being cheap and just get a new one?

$200 is a REALLY good price, or it is a hunk of junk... for that price though i'd take the chance. Not a huge loss ya know?

Well, theres still 4 days left so who knows how high it will get. I just bid 305. Im pretty sure it will at least get up to 8 or 900 which is my budget. Ill see what DH says. I know Ill get outbidded for SURE.

he seems like he is really just getting rid of his old laptop so it seems more legit... just make sure you keep EVERY RECEIPT (a printout of the auction) and pay with a CC... so just in case the laptop is faulty or something you can have your credit card company dispute the charge.
you can buy a new mac at best buy and take advantage of their 24 months no interest financing.
I paid a little over 2000.00 for my powerbook and although its a few years old, worth EVERY CENT.

Do you think paying through PayPal is okay with my bank account? Ive had a PP account for almost 7 years now. I would love to buy a new one but we just cant afford 2000 right now And my Dell is DONE. Its so slow and has absolutely no space left. I cant even watch youtube videos anymore. they wont load cause I have no space!

hmmmmmm I'm a little iffy about it- I think ebay can be great- but with a computer it scares me a little only because mine starts getting slow and acting funny after a year or 2 and I dont abuse it or anything... and you really don't know anything about how they have been treating it. I dont know... it's a really tough call... I would just be a little weary if you are spending all that $ (you said close to $1,000?) and you aren't sure you are getting anything worthwile. I'm not trying to deter you at all- it's obv not up to me lol and he does sound legit, but then again, you just never know. Could be the best deal you ever found- or could be a waste- a reallyy tough call! Just my 2 cents!
