C-Sections

I can't find the thread, but someone recently asked if we noticed an increase in C-Section deliveries.
I read this article in US News, you can read it online at:

Its called- 'Too Posh To Push? Cesarean sections have spiked dramatically. Progress or convenience?'

Re: C-Sections

Thanks for the info Kate. It is certainly an interesting trend -- and I agree that it's probably a combination of both woman who want the 'convenience' of a c-section and doctors trying to eliminate their risk of malpractice. I know I plan to talk to my OBGYN a lot about this when I'm pregnant -- and what her thoughts and practice is with C-Sections. That's important to know -- ladies we really need to talk to our doctors and ask them questions. I'm just switched doctors b/c my last one didn't really seem to care about me -- and didn't encourage questions and really made me feel stupid for asking them.

Re: C-Sections

Thanks for posting this - I had posted the original question about seeing a lot of C-sections. All the ones I knew of were mothers who did not want C-sections.
