So ladies I have a question. We have cablevision and I think we plan on keeping it but, we dont really use the house phone, it was more for my mom. Are there any of you that have it with just internet and cable? or all 3? Is there a big difference in price? TIA

MIL is the only person to ever call our house phone...so its pretty useless. The only reason why we got it was because of the triple play....once we cant get the triple play any more, we will more than likely drop the phone.

Cablevision give you a $20 discount if you have all three services- I was going to cancel our phone but the bill was actually more without it.

we have all 3, and actually when i first called to set up cable, it was actually like 50 cents more just to have the 2! but that was because of the promotional pricing.. for the first year...so i dont know what it would be

Call them and tell them you're interested in canceling the phone service and see what it costs. Sometimes when they hear the word 'cancel' they'll give you a better deal right away.
I called our cable company a few months ago because for some reason our cable/internet bill had gone up to almost $120/month (we don't have phone) and I thought that was ludicrous. I just called and was like 'Hi, can you lower our bill?' and the guy looked for some deals and said 'Yes, actually, I can.' and got it down under $100/month. I didn't have to do anything or extend my contact at all. Just call and ask. So weird!!!

I used to have all three. Now i just have internet & Cable because we use our cell phones for everything. So we gotrid of the landline. Just wasnt worth it to us. But had no problems with any of them at all.

Same here...Its seems like alot of companies are making it cheaper for you to get all 3. Not sure what the prices are after the promotions are over though

WE HAVE TIME WARNER AND THEY SAID IT WOULDNT MAKE REALLY ANY DIFFERENCE IN PRICE SO WE JUST KEPT IT
