Cambridge Who's Who

Okay, so I am being published! I just finished up a 20 minute phone interview and I am going to be published in that Who's Who book. I had to pay money for the membership, but I feel kinda important, and that it's an achievement, so I did it anyway...

When I hung up, I was telling people in my office and the one lady was like, 'Oh, I get those letters in the mail all the time and just throw them out. They mail them to everyone.' Well, thank you for making me feel incredibly NON-special and making me feel like I just was scammed...

Maybe I was, but it's too late now so oh well for me I guess...

hmm... i dont know anything about that stuff... i know they have a whos who of college and stuff but i dont know if thats the same thing?

It is like that... I think they're all the same publishing company, but this particular book is of like successful young adults.

you should google them or look them up on the BBB (if they would even be on there) and see what comes up!!

They are legit, but they send letters out often. But Marisa, I am sure they don't just send them to anyone!

I think its a great accomplishment. I know the 'Who's Who of College Students' is legit so this one should be as well. This is something else you can be proud of, so dont think of it as a scam. Think of it as a donation
or better yet.... As a tax write-off

Thanks for making me feel better, girls! I am sorta dreading telling DH about the amount of the membership Hopefully he'll understand and not freak too much!!! I mean, it's on my credit card and not like I took it out of our joint savings or anything, but still. I am sure that money could've gone to more important things... although... this can now be added to my resume

My DH was published in that a few years ago.
I think its a big deal, i defin have never gotten a letter to be in it.

They're definitely legit, I was in a teachers' one a few years ago!! I don't know which one you will be in but you have to be nominated for it by an honor student to be in it (that's what they said). Congratulations!!!!
