She is a fu@king loudmouth & she SLAMS the door to her apt as well as the front door that we share & she does this all day long. She is constantly in & out.
I have not formally met her yet but I know that if I ever run into her I am going to flip!

I feel you. Our downstairs neighbors pump their f*ing music - the base literally shakes my floor and furniture.
Then they have the nerve to f*ing complain to our doorman about our dog who supposedly runs around ALLLLLLL day long and makes so much noise. Um no, biatches, my dog lays in her freaking bed and only gets excited when we play with her with the toys. They even said that we must get up at 5am to exercise because they hear us 'running around' at that time. Uh crazy people, my DH gets up for work at that time and goes to take a shower and gets dressed. That's it. So F off.
Sorry, I guess I hijacked with my own vent. But point is, I feel you!

I have a feeling if I ever see her, I am going to introduce myself & then follow it with a .. BTW, could you please not scream like a freak for no reason at all & stop slamming doors because the doors literally close with a push of my pinky.

I feel for you. My downstairs neighbor does the same, slams the doors constantly and never opens her kitchen window when she cooks. It's an elderly couple and the man is sick, I've never complained when the ambulance was there during the night, but then why do you have to slam the door shut at 2AM ? She had the balls one time to knock a broom against the ceiling when my purse fell off my bed - at 7:30AM !
Neighbors will always be that way. That's why I want a HOUSE of my own. Don't care how small it is, just don't want attached downstairs, upstairs or sideways neighbors.

i've never had problems with neighbors really but i live on the first floor and people can be SOOOOO loud as they're walking by i feel like sticking a broom out so i can trip them

For us, we have spoken to them on two ocassions. The first time they came to us and complained so we said we understand but that we hope this means they'll stop with the loud music at all hours of the night and EARLY in the morning. The husband was very reluctant but 'agreed' about the music.
The 2nd time, it seems the husband came and knocked on our door at 10:30pm one night when we were already in bed and then left before we could answer the door, so the next day DH and I went to knock on their door to speak to them. The husband wasn't home, but we very nicely explained to the wife that we do not want anyone knocking on our door at night, especially when we're already in bed and not making ANY noise obviously. We told her that we have NEVER come to them to complain about the music which is absolutely ridiculous since it SHAKES our floor and furniture and when their kids are making tons of noise or when they have a party, so that we'd appreciate it if they did the same since we really don't make any noise and we do control our dog, but seriously we can't have her tied down in her own home so they have to understand that we will be walking around etc. It was a very nice interaction, no attitude, no yelling etc. but we still hear their music etc. I'm fine so long as it's not excessive and so long as they quit bitching about my doggie since they have multiple kids (and apparently take care of kids in their home) who make a TON of noise etc.!

Yesi - if your neighbors take care of other people's kids in their apartment, that may be a violation of the co-op rules. Co-ops also have rules about noise, but they do make provisions for 'normal living'. If a tv is blaring at 3 in the afternoon, that is not a violation, but it is at 3am. Check with the owner of your apartment.

I don't think you should punch the neighbor But I think you should play loud music late at night and have friends over to dance up and down on the floors. See if that works

Sounds like our old upstairs tenant. So annoying! Used to slam the door, which was right next to our bedroom and walked like she had lead in her shoes. And she and her bf used to fight constantly, but you never heard him. Just her mouth! Luckily they broke up and moved out!

I would suggest just slapping her... that way it would just be Harassment which is a Violation [so you wouldn't get arrested w/o it being in an officer's presence], rather than punching her, which is Assault- a Misdemeanor! And don't leave any marks!

I feel you, I am in the same boat. Our upstairs neighbors storm up the stairs, slam doors, wrestle in the livingroom and argue until 2:00 AM.
