Can someone answer flower questions?

Can someone answer flower questions?

I need to budget flowers for my mother's 60th b-day, and it's not a variety I asked about when I was wedding planning. This is what I get for using pumpkins.

I figured 10 tables, small vases (6 inches high, 1.75 inches wide), so let's say 4 dozen.

I was thinking either spider daisies, mums, or roses. 2 dozen lavender and 2 dozen yellow.

Also, what kind of flower would you put in one of those square vases that you totally submerge? I've seen pics that look like orchids, but that seems crazy expensive. Are those things silk?

Hmm I would go with something large like gerber daises if you want to submerge it. Thats what we did for our CP at the wedding. We also used small vases from the dollar tree to put a few dasies in. They are inexpensive but come in all colors and are huge and vibrant so you don't need that many. Roses and mums are also inexpensive; depends the look you want. Most people love gerbers. We had them at my bridal shower too; very simple CPs and they just popped.

Lupe also did roses for her CP-Bonitasomething..crap forget her username. if you search under community albums you should find her. They looekd really nice; low little bowls of roses.
