Can you be fake??

If I don't like someone its so hard for me to be fake and pretend!! I'll try to kill em with kindness BUT it never ever works- I wear my emotions/heart on my sleeve!! I just can't do it!!

And is this a good or a bad thing

The old me could fake out everybody-I was always so sweet to everyone just because that was my way even if I couldn't stand the person.

But the new me-I've put up with way too much crap over the last few years and I'm not faking anymore. If I don't like you, I'm not going to go out of my way to be rude to you, but you will know I don't want to be around you.

I can...but it depends on if its worth it.

If its someone I have to be around ont he regular yes fake it is.
If its someone that I could give 2 poops about...I start out nice but then cut low once it gets passed the point of dealing

I really don't have a good 'filter' in me when it comes to being fake---if i don't like you--damnitt you'll sense it.

obviously sometimes you have to 'fake it till ya make it'--for example with my ILs. i hate DH's dad with the passion and first of 1000000 suns---but i smile and try and be pleasant when i'm around him---sometimes its gotta be done

Ditto. However if someone calls me out directly and says 'I have heard you dont like me, is it true,' i won't lie. I believe in saying only 'behind someone's back' what i will say to their face if asked. Too old for BS. I don't like scenes but if you have an issue, take me to the side, ask and we handle it however that may be.

I'd like everyone to geta long but unfortunatelt, doesnt happen.

I can be fake with the best of them but I don't necessarily like it. The nice thing about having some ability to be fake is that you can tell when people are being fake to you

i wouldn't call it fake, but I can be polite. it depends if the person is flat out rude to me or if they are just oblivious, but nice.

i couldn't be rude to someone who is nice to me just b/c I dont like them

That's me in a nutshell. The only place that I can fake it well is in my profession. Only cause I have no choice. Remember what I told you last night about my spat with DH? I try, but I can't either in regular life!

I agree with this though generally at least with me, when I don't care for someone, they feel the same way. Usuaully personality clashes but I would never be outright nasty to someone who didn't see it coming. Thats just not fair.

And generally unelss its somethign REALLY bad like deathm I try to squash things, btu i find that most people dont liek things being out in the open despite what they say. Its considered a 'confrontation' rather than 'just getting it out on the table' so you can kill it and move on.

dont think i fit into one of those but...

ehh, i hate being fake....dont think id call it that either. i just try to be kind and civil even if i have to be around someone that im not crazzzzy about.

i guess i kind of feel like ryan said. i try to surround myself with ppl who i care about... as far as people who can be mean or obnoxious or what have you, i try not to put myself in situations or relationships where i'd need to be fake.

you'll come across many different personality types in your life! i just try to be as tolerant as possible, even though sure at times its tough.

Yeah, I fall into this category as well. There are one or two people that I have to deal with constantly that I don't particularly like and annoy me, but I am polite. Especially when it's work related! I find that sometimes when you're polite to someone like this, it can either rub off on them or they will sometimes realize what an ASSSSS they're being. It's easier than stooping down to their level and being an assss right back.

I find it hard to be FAKE fake. Like to act as though I like someone and be super friendly and whatever, when in reality I don't like them. I can't do that. I can be polite if someone is polite to me.

Same here. People think I'm a biotch for it, but I really don't give a hoot. I ignore those I don't like and I tell it like it is. I have no boundaries when it comes to people I don't like.

Im the worst liar in history!!! Ive been told by everyone...I cant even fib. I wear my heart on my sleeve. Im also very blunt and it has gotten me in trouble before. I usually like everyone though..I rarely have a prob getting along with anyone. If you were good a friend of mine that screwed me thats a diff story......cuz your gonna hear it.
