Before we got married DH and I still lived with our parents so when we got married we had trouble adjusting to having someone else in the bed with us (we're both bed hogs and had to learn to share).
Well now, DH is away on business a lot and I have such a hard time falling asleep without him there.
I'm wondering if anyone else has this problem.

DH works 3-11 and gets home around midnight, so I am usually asleep before he gets home... But when he does a midnight, I am all by myself and I am a bed wh*re!!!!

did it for the first time last weekend, actually. I didn't really have a problem with it....but then again I lived single in my own apt. for 8 years....

If I did...i'd be dead by now since he's been gone for so long.. haha I tend to stay up later when he's not here cause i can watch tv in the bedroom. I do have my 2 dogs to snuggle up with & who are great watchdogs (even if they are just little ankle biters)

DH goes away lot so I have had a lot of time to adjust. I prefer when he is with me, but sometimes I just have to do without. Those nights I just cuddle with my pillow.

DH is a ER resident, so he works crazy hours and many overnights....so I have adjusted to not sleeping with him many nights

I can't sleep WITH him! He is a restless sleeper and it always talking and getting up in his sleep - almost EVERY night!
So I can sleep better w/o him!

same here! DH works 4-12 - so he doesnt get home until 12:30 - 1:00 am. In the beginning, I wouldnt be able to sleep, but now I got used to it, so I am sleeping when DH gets home

I can't sleep without him..I am like a crazy person when he is not around.. i sleep with a can of hairspray and a large knife by my bed.

no-- but I had to learn really hard and fast when he had to go off to retrain for 4 months for the Air Force.... right at the end of my pregnancy too!!! all i did was cry!!

We didn't live together before the wedding so getting used to sleeping with him there was kinda hard at first. Now we're both really used to it and love it. DH can't fall alseep without me there but I'm usually so tired when I go to bed - I'd fall alseep anywhere anytime.

Yes....i have to be able to. When he's training he's away for months at a time. And there's always the possibility of deployment soon....so I'm used to not sleeping with him all the time. The first few days that he's gone is always hard to sleep, but after that its fine and I fall asleep the same as I normally would.
