Has anyone ever been to the Cancun Palace in Mexico? We've decided to go there for a week, for our first anniversary (I still can't believe it's a whole year), and I wanted all the information I can get - good & bad. We're booking tonight. Thanks everyone!!!

Cancun Palace
I have never been there but my mother is a travel agent. We were discussing
going to Cancun once and she said the Moon Palace is the nicest. It is also in
Cancun. I think the beach it is near is more private than the Cancun Palace and
have some more amenities. I know the Palace resorts are all-inclusive but you
can go from the one you are staying at to the other ones to eat at their
restaurants too. As long as you are not going during Spring Break, I think it
would be nice.

We stayed there for spring break years ago it was nice-- we didnt do the all inclusive but others staying at the hotel did--
I am so jealous that you get to plan your one year anniversary-- we know we want to go on a cruise--but we still have a ways to go

LaurenDM,
We just got back from Cancun last week and the Cancun Palace is where we stayed. First off the location is terrific. It''s not too close to the airport, and not too far from the clubs, shopping, and restaurants. Our room was beautiful. We were on the ocean, and had a four person jacuzzi in the middle of the room. Ask for the upgrade when you check in...it is so worth it. The all inclusive is the way to go. Any drink you wanted when you wanted it. You get 1 room service a day. Food was great. There were 3 or 4 different restaurants to chose from and every night they bbq''d seafood and steaks on the pool deck. You can jump between all the Palace resorts, but we found most people who were staying at the others came to the Cancun Palace because it has the best beach. It was mostly couples. The Beach Palace is more family oriented and The Moon Palace was beautiful, but too big. And there was no beach there, only a huge pool. Service was top notch and we met a lot of couples. When we go back I will defenitely stay there again. You will have the best time. Let me know if you have any more questions!

Cancun Palace
Thank you Valerie!!! I'm so excited, and now really happy that we chose the Cancun Palace. I had been wondering if the Moon Palace was the better one (but it was more money), but now that you tell me that there's no beach there, I'm happy I didn't choose it. I can't wait to get there now. One more question - are there any restaurants that we have to 'reserve' when we get there, or they'll be booked? When we went to Sandals in Montego Bay, Jamaica for our honeymoon, we had to make reservations at the restaurants or they would get booked. Is this how it works at Cancun Palace? What are the best restaurants in the Palace Resorts?
Thanks for all of your help, and I'm glad you enjoyed your trip!!!

There is only one restaurant in the Cancun Palace (i forgot the name) that you do have to make reservations for. It''s the only one there that does. We waited till the last night and they were all booked up. When we explained that we were honeymooner''s they ended up giving us a 10pm reservation. The food was amazing. I would recommend reserving when you check in. The others all start serving at 6:30. You are gonna love it. Also, if you like the club atmosphere definetly go to Coco Bongo. If you like a more laid back atmosphere try the Bulldog Cafe. Either way you can''t go wrong. Have fun!
