Card box

I wrapped a decent size box with white paper and then wrapped tulle around it like a gift and then cut a slot (large enough to allow odd sized cards too) and I also hot glued some flowers and stuff on too. The tulle bow was right in front of the slot and it was fluffy enough that it kind of obscured the slot. We had it on the gift table which was kind of out of the way, sort of behind us. We didn't have it for guests to 'deposit' cards into, just a spot for DH & I to be able to place all the cards we were getting. I wouldn't want my guests to feel like I was expecting them to just drop the card into a box or cage, sometimes it's the only time you get a chance to chat with the B&G. And it seems impersonal to me (JMO) It cost nothing to make and it was cute - and the cards were all in one place where they couldn't get lost or misplaced.

I just used a bag that my sister used for her wedding. My parents kept an eye on it all night.
I didnt like the fact that $$$ box was open to everyone, plus I think it is nice for the guest to give their gift to th ebride/groom personally

My reader(friend) gave me a treasure chest type of box to use. We went around & most people gave us the cars then we would put them in there. It was behind or table to the side. I know she paid alot for it because I've seen them online. FM me if you want to borrow it.

We used a birdcage and my aunt decorated it for us. And now I use it as a plant holder. I didn't personally like the mailbox idea because what do you do with it after? I think everyone will know what it is for, everyone has some sort of envelope 'box' nowadays. And if people hand you cards, this is a place for you to put them them in!

My mom made us a cake out of hat boxes. Many people didn't know what to do with the cards - they gave them to us and we put them in there. It was good because you didn't have to worry about losing any of them.
