I need help with iMovie and I know you MUST be a whiz at it! If you're there, can you help?

oh for some reason I thought you were a pro!!!

I wanted to add this 'fog' effect at the end of my video. Every time I try to add the fog, the sound cuts out and it just shows the image. What am I doing wrong? Any idea?

I'd also like to do a kind of pop-up video thing with captions but I can't figure that out either!!

oh no biggie at all! I was gonna work with a fellow teacher at school on it anyway...it's just that I'm home today- we had a 'sun'day because of the heat so I wanted to get to work on it. Honestly, don't worry about it at all!

ditto on this. i was playing with my son's breakdancing video and it took me FOREVER, but I finally figured out how to rotate a video

heyy! sorry to intrude but maybe i can help...i do a lot of imovies....
what type of captions do u want? did u try using one of the title options?

the problem with the fog ive never heard of before...so after you apply it, it still doesnt show? i would suggest maybe playing around with the speed and intensity of the fog...or sometimes i noticed with video FX that for some reason they layer so maybe try deleting the photo, sometimes theres something hidden underneath...

oh thanks! I figured out to add the effect - I have to extract audio first.

Now I have a NEW problem - when I add the effect, the sound gets distorted! It is so weird!!

And I really wanted to try to add pop up video like captions throughout the video but can't figure it out. A couple other people that entered the contest were able to do it. Wish I could!

hmm that sound thing is weird.....sorry i cant help ya there...but the best way to figure that stuff out seems to be just playing around with it like ya did......the only way i know to add any text is thru the titles over the images....not sure if theres a way to do pop up.....the only thing u might want to try is creating the pop up text seperately and adding it as a pic, you can then use transitions for the whole pop-up effect...
heres a site i love to find new things for mac... i <3 my mac lol

i used it to figure out how to convert the themes from iDVD into movie files to insert into imovie and its really easy... i was getting bored of imovies themes so it gives many more choices!
